The date came from the pages that says LICENCE that says at the end:
" Dated at Edinburgh, the Thirty-first day of March, Nineteen Hundred and Thirty-seven. "
It has quite a few nice color illustrations.
One of the first pages is filled in pen:
" Presented to Ruth by Mother and Dad.
Date Dec. 25, 1938."
Ruth's full name is also embossed on the cover of the Bible.
This book is in nice condition but the overlapping edges of the cover are worn and torn.
No torn or ripped pages, but there are a few light creases on some of them.
The first page is filled in by the previous owner with names and a date it was presented.
